Yummy { Homemade} Potato Soup:
Ingredients:
snatch up a few potatoes that fit your fancy
1 or 1/2 stalk of celery
1 cup of milk ( keep it handy though you will need more)
1/4 cup of cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp garlic powder
bacon bits ( if you like)
2 chicken buollion cubes
salt
pepper
a handful of shredded cheese
Directions:
place cut-up potatoes in a large boiler, just barely covering them with water
cut up your celery; add them too then add your butter
tell your buds to sit there a while until they are good and mushy
{ i talk to my food}
take a spoon and mush them even more
add your milk, chicken cubes, salt and pepper, cream cheese, and
shredded cheese, garlic powder and bacon bits
then add your flour, it should begin to thicken now
mine tended to thicken up real quick, so i just kept adding milk
until it was the consistency i wanted
and presto!! i think that's what the pro's say!
Happy Cooking!

DeleteI love looking at other people potato soup recipes. Compared to others, yours is the closest I have seen to mine. Only couple of differences we be you use cottage cheese and I throw in carrots, onion and bacon. I am going to try your recipe the next time I am craving Potato Soup :-)
